New Org Alert

Emerson Documentaries (EmDocs) is a new organization in its founding semester at the college! An organization focused on producing documentaries, this opens a new creative outlet for students who have had desires to be involved in documentary making outside of the classroom. Many of the founding members are DeKA's including: Jacob Falberg, Tyler Mashkoori, Kenzi Vaughn, Kayla Mitchell, and Stefan Linhares.

We are extremely proud of our members pioneering a new org that will last for years to come!

Member elected General Manager of EIV!

Nuria Pelicer, 19', was recently elected General Manager of Emerson Independent Video for the 18'-19' Academic Year.

EIV was founded in 1975 at Emerson College, it is a student operated television station whose purpose is to allow students to apply learned procedures in a practical environment. Students gain experience by applying these skills in EIV productions, with the intent of learning by doing. EIV patterns itself along the conventions of modern television stations across the United States. Emerson students will face these environments when they are working in the professional world of television; it is EIV’s intent to train by running the organization in this fashion.

EIV is Emerson College’s oldest and largest television and video organization.  The organization is student run and overseen by the student management board and a faculty advisor.  All of EIVs programming and newscasts are produced and crewed entirely by Emerson students.

Emerson Independent Video is especially know for it’s award winning EIV News shows.  Over the years, EIV News has won countless awards including multiple Associated Press Awards, EVVY Awards, and student awards at the Boston/New England EMMYs.
